The Leonard special gear unit MGV (see figure 2.5.1 and 2.5.2) works free from backlash. Therefore it is especially suitable for driving LEONARD rotary cam switches GSW100 resp. GSW100E and incremental position transducers, encoders or the like. With an intermediate flange it is also possible to couple the gearbox MGV to other LEONARD rotary cam switches.
The two-step gearbox has a life lubrication and is maintenance free. The gearbox works free from backlash after a long time, because of prestressed gearwheels. If the maximum torque of 1,5 Nm is exceeded, due to an operative trouble, the prestress is overcome and the synchronism between the input and output of the gearbox is no longer guaranteed. However, the gearwheels don’t become any defect.
