0911472255The Flowline LevelTrack® LD31 Continuous Magnetic Float Liquid Level Transmitter is a highly reliable electro-mechanical level measurement solution engineered for industrial tanks, vertical vessels, and deep sumps. Unlike non-contact ultrasonic or radar sensors that can be degraded by thick surface foam, heavy vapor condensation, or internal tank obstructions, the LD31 operates on a direct magnetic principle: a float housing a permanent magnet moves along a 316L stainless steel stem, actuating an internal reed switch/resistor chain to output a precise, continuous signal proportional to liquid level.
Built for long-term durability in demanding environments, the sensor’s wetted components—including the stem, float, and process fitting—are entirely constructed from heavy-duty 316L stainless steel, offering superior chemical resistance against fuels, oils, solvents, wastewater, and mild chemicals. The LD31 series supports custom stem lengths ranging from 0.6m to 5.5m (2 to 18 feet) and features an integrated transmitter module providing a 2-wire 4-20 mA loop-powered output with HART 7 communication protocol. Housed in a NEMA 4X / IP65 cast aluminum junction box, zero and span calibration can be performed conveniently on-site via integral push-buttons without removing the instrument from the tank.
