Hans manufacture and supply of testing and quality control instruments, specially Tension Meters for textil- and wire-industry.

HANS SCHMIDT  Products:

  • Tension Meter

As one of the largest manufacturers of tension meters worldwide, we offer a wide range of mechanical and electronic models. These tension gauges are used as handheld devices and sensors for the continuous tension measurement with one or three rollers, whereby sensors with one roller can replace an existing deviating point. With our wide selection of guide rollers, with line speeds up to 6000 m/min, our tension testers are suitable for a variety of applications in the textile, fiber and wire industry. In addition, we provide tension meters for measuring pretensioned ropes or wires in closed force systems.

Our electronic tension sensors are available as single and multi-networking versions, in which up to 32 sensors can be connected in series. The data analysis of our electronic tension meters and tension sensors can be carried out on a PC using the Tension Inspect 3 software. Depending on the tension meter model, our devices can be equipped with a USB, RS-232, RS-422 or as a wireless alternative with WLAN interface for the connecting the tension meter to a PC.

  • Durometers (Hardness Tester)

A hardness tester is a device for measuring the hardness of various materials. We supply yarn package hardness tester for testing the winding hardness of bobbins made of chemical fibers, filaments and natural fibers, as well as Shore hardness testers for determining the hardness according to Shore A, B, C, D, DO, O and AO, which comply with the standards DIN 53505, ISO 7619, ISO 868 and ASTM 2240. A Shore durometer will be used for Shore hardness testing of soft rubber, elastomers, natural rubber, neoprene, polyester, PVC, leather, rubber, thermoplastics, plastics, fabrics, etc. Another distinguishing feature of the durometer is the indentor. A textile hardness tester has a 2.5, 5 or 10 mm diameter ball, while Shore hardness testers have a cone, a ball, a tapered pin or a U-shaped indentor.
