Shaft Couplings Miki Pulley
1. Pin & Hub Couplings:
CPU/CPE models are pin bushing type joints made from aluminum alloy. Extremely low backlash while still allowing exceptional yaw angle adjustment. The swivel pins and bushings have a low coefficient of friction and require no maintenance or lubrication. This joint model also provides a sliding damping effect at the friction surface between the pin and the dry metal. Standard clamping center makes installation easy and reliable. PARAFLEX models are offered in both CPU models allowing deflection angles up to 4° and inexpensive CPE models allowing deflection angles up to 1°.

2. Rigid Couplings:
These are rigid couplings with extremely high torsional rigidity developed for servo motor applications. Unlike flexible couplings, they do not have a part that absorbs the difference between the centers of the two shafts, so they have very high torsional stiffness. Since the torque-related outer diameter can be reduced compared to a flexible coupling, a smaller coupling can be used, which reduces the moment of inertia.

These couplings connect one shaft-mounted hub to another hub, separated by a metal coil. They achieve excellent flexibility, compact dimensions and high torque. There are three models: BAUMANN MINI FLEX (Model LM/ZG), which has a relatively small rated torque, BAUMANNFLEX MM, which connects one shaft to another, and BAUMANNFLEX MF, which connects shafts to flanges and the like .

A magnetic coupling is a shaft coupling that uses a magnetic field instead of a physical mechanical connection to transmit torque from one shaft to another. They are contactless and use the attraction and repulsion of magnetic poles to transfer rotational energy. The magnetic coupler withstands large deflections and does not create noise, vibration or heat conduction.

5. Shaft / Hub Locking Devices:
Using a shaft locking device instead of a keyway has many benefits, including: less machining time, easy installation and disassembly, even radial surface pressure and high torque values than.

6. Custom Shaft Couplings & Spring Applied Brakes:
Custom couplings have high torque capacity and higher torsional stiffness. Features spacers to accommodate long distances between shaft ends, electroless nickel plating to prevent corrosion, stainless steel construction, hub types include keyway clamps.
Electromagnetic spring brakes are also known as “power-off” brakes. The spring-actuated electromagnetic brake provides reliable braking when power is removed and delivers excellent performance in long-term brake hold applications. In a spring-actuated or spring-applied brake, compression springs push the armature plate against the rotor disc to stop and maintain motion when power is removed. This feature provides safe braking and allows the brake to maintain position for long periods of time, thereby preventing the machine from “plunging” when powered off.
