2. Resonance Damping Couplings:

Resonance usually occurs within the operating speed range of stepping motors/stepper motors and other types of motors. If left unchecked, resonance can cause negative effects in equipment such as excessive noise and harmful vibration. A resonant damping coupling, or resonant coupling, is a rotating force transmission device specifically designed to prevent vibration and resonance between two connected shafts. 3.1 ALS-R:

Type 'R' elastomers are listed as JIS-A tight fit, providing high torque and response with a shore hardness of 97.

The 'Y' type elastomer is listed as a JIS-A fit, which offers a good balance of performance and flexibility when correcting shaft misalignment. Type Y has a shore hardness of 90.

Type 'B' elastomers are listed as JIS-A loose joint types, which offer lower precision but high torque capacity and increased flexibility to avoid shaft misalignment. Type B has a shore hardness of 97.

3.4  AL SprFlex Coupling:

This simple jaw and spider coupling features a nitrile rubber element between two sintered aluminum shafts. Using aluminum in the axles will reduce the moment of inertia during starting and stopping. AL couplings are available in standard bore sizes with key and set screws or pilot bores. Boreholes can also be machined to customer specifications upon request.
